Living in the sunny South can be wonderful if you enjoy the warmer weather. But, if you are more of a fall person, I don’t recommend it. I moved here some years ago, along with other numerous northern brethren. When I finished up a career, I went to the sun. It was a bonus round transfer on the part of myself and my husband. We found a small house in a small town. This worked perfectly for me at first. Then, I started slowing down a bit as well as wasn’t enjoying the outdoors as much. That turn of events also had a debilitating effect on our psyches. So, we built a sunroom. Another master stroke idea, if I do say so myself. The only pitfall is there’s no heating and air conditioning in our sunroom. There is a definite chill in the winter time but, the summertime is almost too overheated to appreciate the sunroom. I can’t afford to extend the heating and air conditioning air duct out into the sunroom. Calling our local heating and air conditioning business for more information was the right move. A honestly nice heating and cooling expert came to our home to help me choose the ideal option. She showed me a heating and air conditioning model I had never seen before. The mini-split heating and cooling unit is a ductless alternative which provides excellent temperature control. However, the mini split was a bit more luxurious than our budget could handle. We chose, instead, to purchase a new portable air conditioner unit. The portable air conditioner will be effective as well as we can transfer it around to accommodate our needs in the sunroom. I will continue to knock the chill off the sunroom in the Winter time with our handy space heater. Yet, my husband and I will begin saving for the mini-split heating and cooling unit. The older I get, the less we are going to want to bother with the portable A/C unit. Plus, I enjoy the idea of lounging in our sunroom with the remote climate control unit to the mini split heating and air conditioning in our hands.
