Depending on where you grew up from birth, it shows and decides how your body reacts to the heat as well as the cold weather. I was born plus raised about as far north as you can get in this country! We did not just rely on our oil heating systems or our boilers up here, every last one of us needed them for survival! Air conditioning was practically not needed at all up here, except for some summers that were freakishly overheated on occasion. And by freakishly overheated in this context, I mean pushing 77 degrees! When I moved much farther down south to the southwest, I found that the concept of what is considered freezing is absolutely weird and unusual down there, however where I came from, 65 degrees called for a pair of shorts plus a t-shirt. People down southwest instead dressed as if they were in below-chilly temperatures a lot with that. It made myself and others from here laugh more often than not, as well as I got quite a few curious stares with the way I would dress in such weather; Owning a small condo down south was delightful in the winter time months, except for some rare evenings that would dip into the thirties or even 20’s at times, I would most often open the windows and get a delightful cross breeze in the winter, not crank the heater, however my neighbors thought I was crazy and off the wall for this, but then, when the summer time weeks came, you can bet I was using an air conditioning plan just as much as the rest of them here in the southwest USA!
