One of the best inventions I’ve seen is the evaporative cooler, or “swamp” cooler, however an alternative form of air conditioning, swamp coolers supply cool air to a small space, however while normal central a/c systems simply supply cold air, a swamp cooler also dampens the air with added humidity! This is so very useful in dry weather conditions, but it can prove destructive in a humid region. That being said, I have to say that the portable swamp cooler for my car has been upscale. The a/c plan in the car broke down ages ago, plus I just haven’t had the cash on me to get it repaired. Then I stumbled across a portable swamp cooler, which seemed like the right fit for my specific needs. After all, I was driving through the southwest every month – that’s the hottest, most miserable place I could think of! It was a superb thing in theory, but I didn’t think if it would be as simple as the advertisements for it made it out to be, still, I wanted to supply it a shot. The portable swamp cooler essentially just needed batteries to run, plus fresh ice to act as the coolant for air conditioning, however I loaded the plan up with ice plus set it in my car, plus before long I found that I had to shut the swamp cooler off – it was working too well! Also, the condensation forming on my windows from using the swamp cooler made it so that I had to crack the windows and use hot air from the car to defog the windshield. It’s not often that I can say something works too well to be useful, but this swamp cooler really needs to be used in a place that has open air access.
